Trello to QuickBooks Time Tracking - Support

Installing the Power-Up and Initial Setup

1. To get started, click the link above or search "Trello to Quickbooks" in the Trello Power-Up library. Then click "Add".

2. Click on "Authorize with Trello" and follow all authorization steps.

3. After authorizing with Trello, you will be directed to Quickbooks and prompted to enter your QuickBooks credentials.  If you are not automatically directed here, you can open the Power-Up settings in Trello and find the "Connect to QuickBooks" button there.

4. Once the credentials are entered, you should see a message saying "Success". This indicates that you are ready to begin tracking time in your Trello board and syncing it to QuickBooks! 

Unlinking Your Current Company

To unlink your current Quickbooks company, open the Power-Up settings page. Then click "Unlink Quickbooks". This will disconnect your Trello board from that QuickBooks company and allow you to link it to a new company.

Creating a Time Activity

Once you have authorized the Power-Up in Trello and connected your board to QuickBooks, you are ready to start tracking time! Any time you track in your cards is automatically synced to your QuickBooks account as a time entry. No additional steps are necessary for the sync to occur.

1. Open the card back for the activity that you wish to track time within.

2. Click on any of the "Add Time" buttons:

3. Enter the time to be recorded and all desired parameters. The only required parameters to submit are "Date", "Time" and "Name".

4. Click "Save" to add the time to the card back and sync with Quickbooks. Or "Save and new" if you'd like to create another time entry.

Showing Time Activities on Your Trello Card Back

You can view all time tracked to a card on your card back, or tracked to any card in your board.
1. Click "Expand Times"

2. Toggle between "Show All" and "Filter by <card>".
3. Click edit to make changes to an existing time entry.

FAQ

What permission types in QuickBooks are authorized to use the Power-Up?

Currently only Admins in QuickBooks are authorized to use the Trello Power-Up. Other permission types in QuickBooks will not have authorization to use the Power-Up.

What is the cost to user this Power-Up?

$3.99 USD per month. The subscription fee allows full use of the "Trello to QuickBooks Time Tracking" Power-Up as well as access to the entire Blue Dasher Power-Up Family.
